| The Labor Day weather was ideal for an afternoon "Ice Cream Social with Barack Obama". The event was held at the Dr. H.O. Smith School on School Street in Hudson, New Hampshire. Plenty of seating was provided in the shade to sit in and relax while enjoying a scoop of ice cream. There were rows of folding chairs, many picnic tables and risers placed in the back to allow a good view of the candidate. Still, there was standing room only as the crowd topped 1,000 people in my guess-ta-mation. This was the 4th Obama event of the day in NH (counting the parade in Milford), so for such a large amount of people to show-up was impressive.
They came to get the scoop, and have a scoop, with Barack. The voters were treated to a choice of flavors. You could have chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or mint chocolate chip scoops.
Can't beat free ice cream on a beautiful summer day in New Hampshire. |

| During the speech by Barack there was enthusiastic applause from the crowd. He seems to have a devoted following in NH. I also saw many MA license plates parked along the streets.
I chatted with some of the people at the event and many admitted to being Obama supporters. Some people have already made-up their minds to vote for him. There were all ages too. From 1st time voters to senior citizens.
Barack Obama has his NH supporters all fired up. |
